CHUNARAM MAHATO
(1924-1942)
Born at Kurda village of Manbazar. He participated in the” Non-Cooperation Movement “launched by Mahatma Gandhi. British Police attested him at the tender age of eight and sent to jail.
He was in the forefront to Manbazar Police station blockade and died by Police firing on 30th September 1942.The villagers dedicated “Chunaram Gobindo Vidyabith” in his memory.
